How to install the Windows driver (with driver installer)

Download the appropriate driver for your printer from the Custom America website

Power on the printer

  • If using USB do not connect the USB cable until asked to by the driver installer
  • If using RS232, connect the cable to the PC
  • If using Ethernet or WiFi, ensure that the device is properly connected to the network

Run the driver install wizard (DIW)

Follow the prompts of the software:

  1. If asked, select the appropriate device
  2. If asked, select Full driver or Standard driver
    • Full Driver installs the necessary components to use Status Monitor and Facility Tool
    • Standard Driver only installs the printer driver
  3. Select the communication method for which the driver should be installed
    • If USB was selected, the USB cable should be plugged in at this time
    • The installer will wait for Windows Update to search for the driver and then continue
    • This could take some time
  4. If the driver installation has completed properly, you are ready to print!
